Once such business is AE Lenton Farming, (www.aelenton.co.uk) who are looking for a Farm Manager to help them deliver their objectives and become fitter and stronger for the future. There are great opportunities in farming businesses right now, and AEL are looking for someone with a positive attitude and can-do approach to help the business continually improve, become more efficient and make a real difference to business strengths and profitability.

AEL is a large-scale professional crop production business of c. 2,300 hectares based in mid Lincolnshire. They have a diverse enterprise mix including cereals, high quality pre-pack potatoes and vegetables produced conventionally and via an organic operation. Energy crops are also grown for the company’s anaerobic digester.

The right candidate will be ready and able to hit the ground running with your existing level of experience, or have the skills and ambition to grow in the role with the right level of support. Essential criteria

  • Formal agricultural training
  • Experience in farming management
  • Crop production experience
  • Experience leading a team 
  • Agricultural technology and IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Full driving licence
