Fisher German’s planning team is celebrating after taking home top prize at the RTPI East Midlands Awards for Planning Excellence 2019 - the Planning Consultancy of the Year award. Judges at the ceremony, held at The Roundhouse in Derby, praised our ‘strong, client-focussed approach’ to planning schemes and commitment to allowing colleagues to develop and progress through the firm.
Our high rate of success in planning applications was also highlighted – out of the 159 applications submitted on behalf of clients in the 2018/19 financial year, 156 were successful. Partner Liberty Stones, Head of Planning, was thrilled to win the award and praised the colleagues who helped make it possible. She said: “The planning team has been going from strength to strength at Fisher German with a solid base in the East Midlands, as well as colleagues working across our regions and expanding the service line further. This marks our second win in the RTPI East Midlands Awards in the last three years, in addition to our success in 2018 Planning Consultancy Survey where we climbed nine places to sit in the top 35 consultancies in the UK.
We are particularly pleased that the judges recognised our commitment to achieving the best value for clients, in line with Fisher German’s vision to always add maximum value through understanding, creativity and excellence. Four new graduate planners have just joined the service line, and a further qualified planner has been recruited, so there are now 24 planners operating across the business. This award is just another reason why Fisher German is a great place to develop a career in planning and development.”
The win puts Fisher German on the shortlist for the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2020 where the team will be up against other regional winners of the Planning Consultancy of the Year category.
