About us fisher german

Fisher German is pleased to announce that Tim Shuldham will become Senior Partner on 1 October, with Struan McDougall replacing Tim in the role of Regional Managing Partner for Yorkshire and North Midlands.Tim has been in the property industry for 40 years and will take over the role from Charles Meynell, who steps down at the end of September. Tim started in the property industry at Henry Spencer & Sons in Retford, Nottinghamshire, in 1979. It was taken over by the Halifax Building Society, and the rural part of the business was then separated out as Shuldham Calverley in 1989.

Tim joined Fisher German when Shuldham Calverley merged with the consultancy in 2010 and a major factor was the firm’s focus on fostering internal talent. He became Deputy Managing Partner in 2013 and served in this role until April this year. Tim said: “The role of Senior Partner, like everything in Fisher German, is constantly developing as the business grows and I look forward to playing my part in taking the role forward.

“When I first looked to merge Shuldham Calverley with Fisher German, one of the things that attracted me was the investment in young professionals and future leaders and I find it hugely rewarding seeing young people progress within the business. Charles has overseen the creation of our Pathway to Partnership and confirmed many promotions at all levels in the firm and I am looking forward to playing my part in continuing this work so we can offer the best level of service to our clients now and in the future.”

Partner Struan McDougall will take up Tim’s former role of Regional Managing Partner for the Yorkshire and North Midlands area. Struan has been with Fisher German since he graduated in 2011, and has risen rapidly through the business in that time. His current work focuses primarily on strategic property management and consultancy advice to estates, private individuals and farming businesses in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Struan said: “I am delighted to have been asked to be the Regional Managing Partner for our Yorkshire and North Midlands region where there are many growth opportunities for us to explore.
“I was brought up in rural Yorkshire so it’s even more exciting to be working closely to expand our services into areas I know well. There is a lot to celebrate in our region, not least our second anniversary in the Doncaster office and a number of new appointments as we strengthen the Commercial, Rural and Utilities teams in the region. Tim has established a very successful region and will no doubt continue to provide us with his expertise in the Doncaster office to aid our ambitious growth plans and continue to support his long-standing clients.”
