Mainline Pipelines Ltd appoint Fisher German
Mainline Pipelines Ltd (MLP) have appointed Fisher German to continue managing their 484km multi-fuel pipeline network which runs from Pembroke in South West Wales, across the country to Birmingham, Manchester and Nottingham.
The firm’s utilities and infrastructure department based in Ashby de la Zouch have managed the MLP network for over 25 years and will continue to provide full maintenance and management of the line for the next 3 years. The firm will also be the first point of contact for landowners, utility providers, councils and the emergency services.
Mainline Pipelines Ltd, which have recently had their majority shareholding purchased by Valero Energy Ltd, are part of one of the UK’s largest pipeline networks. The new contract with MLP will run alongside www.linesearch.org, the service and infrastructure enquiry website operated by Fisher German. The website handles approximately 90,000 enquiries per month from people searching for buried pipelines and utilities before starting construction projects.
The team working on the MLP contract includes over 15 Fisher German employees with significant experience within the utilities and infrastructure sector. Their knowledge and experience played a major part in why the firm was chosen to continue working on the pipeline network.
Richard Broome, one of two land agents managing the contract, comments “We are delighted to maintain the provision of our services to Mainline Pipelines Ltd and hope that through our experience and dedicated service ethic we can continue to provide our services for many more years to come.”
