HS2 Compensation Consultation Delayed Until Later in 2012

July 2012

hs2 news

Secretary of State for Transport, Justine Greening, has this week announced that the consultation on compensation measures for those affected by HS2, which was to have been published in the spring, will now be delayed until after the Government returns from its summer recess in September.

The responses to the consultation, which should last six weeks, must then be analysed before the route can be safeguarded.  No further information has been given as to what effect this will have on the overall timescale of the scheme.
