Matthew joined Fisher German LLP in 2015, following the merger with Warmingtons. Matthew has 20 years' experience and has advised mainly private clients on a variety of property and rural consultancy matters, including sales and lettings, management (agricultural and residential), agricultural support schemes, local taxation, valuation, planning, agricultural occupancy conditions, landlord and tenant matters, compensation and compulsory purchase. He leads the Basic Payment Scheme for the South Central region and has experience in a variety of office systems. Prior to Warmingtons, Matthew gained experience at Savills in Cambridge and has two Masters (one in Rural Estate Management from the Royal Agricultural University and one in Soil Science from Reading University), and a degree in Geology and Physical Geography from the University of Bedfordshire. He was educated at Kimbolton School. Outside the office, Matthew's passion for travel has led him to all corners of the globe and developing a strong photographic eye. He is a member of the Gransden and District Agricultural Society and he enjoys all forms of professional sports from the touchline with a strong bias towards athletics, equestrian, motorsports and rugby. On a practical level, he enjoys the challenge of keeping fit, cycling, horse riding, skiing and adventurous experiences, which has included swimming with saltwater crocodiles and diving with great white sharks!

With nearly 20 years' experience, Matthew was originally a partner of John Sanders Chartered Surveyors before the company merged with Fisher German in 2011, when he became an Equity Partner. He advises on a broad range of matters specialising in rural/agricultural sales and acquisitions, taxation and court valuations, planning and development to include land promotion, estate management and general professional services, acting predominantly for the private client sector principally across the West Midlands. Although he hails from the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Matthew's family origins are farming in the Cambridgeshire Fens and after graduating from Harper Adams, he moved to Worcestershire, where he now lives with his wife and two young children. Matthew is a fan of all aspects of outdoor life and sports and is known for the occasional cycling trip across various countries.

She has returned from managing an estate and guest house in northern Kenya for two months to take up the graduate position at Thame.

Having lived and worked in Newark, Nottinghamshire, since August 2011, Robert relocated to Fisher German's Stafford office in April 2015 to take on a new and exciting opportunity to assist with a variety of general practice work and to assist with the management of three rural estates. Originally from Staffordshire, Robert has gained a wide range of experience in the profession through working in the West Midlands and the North West. To date he has been involved mainly in the sale and letting of rural property, planning, compulsory purchase in relation to road schemes and pipeline management for the water industry. Robert’s return to the West Midlands opens the doors to a variety of new and existing work opportunities and he is excited to build and develop working relations in the area, particularly in his home county of Staffordshire! In his spare time Rob is a keen mountain biker and hockey player and is looking forward to getting involved with these sports once again!

Jeremy was until recently long-standing Honorary Secretary and Treasurer of the Bedfordshire branch of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust and a former president of local branches of the RICS, the CAAV and Bedford Surveyors 1921 Club. He is holder of a Goldstand Medal from the Royal Agricultural College (now University) at Cirencester.

Louise is an Associate Partner working in the Rural Consultancy sector, primarily undertaking estate management work throughout Leicestershire, Rutland and Bedfordshire. Louise has been involved in a broad spectrum of property matters including landlord and tenant issues, negotiating new lettings and maintenance of agricultural and residential properties. Louise also assists with estate mapping and sale plans. In addition, she has worked on the Fisher German APC programme, assisting several graduates through the various offices who have gone on to successfully complete their RICS qualifications. Louise graduated from Harper Adams University in 2001 when she joined Fisher German, and soon qualified as a surveyor. She became a member of the CAAV the following year. Louise lives in Leicestershire with her husband and two children. She currently works part time, three days each week, and enjoys looking after her children on her days off and helping on the farm. With the little bit of spare time left, she enjoys peace and quiet in the swimming pool and experimenting in the kitchen.

Darren is a Fixed Share Partner and Head of the Renewable Energy sector but supplements this role with some estate management and general professional work for long standing clients. Darren has been involved in a large number of multi-technology energy projects across the UK and Northern Ireland and was responsible for overseeing the firm's first medium-scale wind development, from idea to build. He has helped a number of the UK’s leading clearing banks evolve their renewable energy lending policies and oversees the management and delivery of due diligence for those clients who have lent in excess of £40 million to associated projects. Darren graduated from the Royal Agricultural College in 2006, joining Fisher German later that year. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2008 and has since progressed through the firm into his current role as a Fixed Share Partner. As well as helping build the Renewable Energy sector, he also spent a number of years developing the firm's graduate recruitment and APC training programmes. Darren hails from the hills of Exmoor and can often be spotted on the racecourse, having ridden nearly 200 winners as an amateur jockey.

His role in Fisher German is to develop a minerals capacity to support our existing clients and new work opportunities. William is a member of the RICS President’s Panel of Independent Experts, with specialisms in rural and mineral and waste matters. Out of work he is a keen, if not particularly capable, sportsman and manages to avoid any involvement with his wife’s and daughter’s horses by playing golf in the summer and being a rugby referee in the winter.

Rebecca has undertaken a range of general and rural practice work since joining the business, including rural land and property management, valuations, the sale of agricultural property and renewables work. Mark Newton headed up the Fisher German energy sector team since he started it in 2001. Fisher German was one of the first firms of Chartered Surveyors to specialise in renewable and sustainable energy. Mark is a leading expert on wind, solar, AD and all forms of renewable and sustainable energy, including battery storage and STOR Energy sites. Mark has been selected by most of the major banks to help formulate their renewable lending policy and train their managers. He has helped write the CLA Advisory Booklet on wind farms, spoken on Radio 4 and appeared on BBC1 Countryfile. Mark speaks regularly at renewable energy conferences including Energy Now and NextGen and has written many renewable farming press articles. Involved in around 300 wind farm projects, hundreds of single wind turbine projects, over 90 solar park projects. Also large numbers of commercial scale domestic and industrial solar PV projects. He and his team have been involved with over 50 AD plants, numerous RHI projects, and hydro schemes. Mark is also involved in valuations of renewable projects for banks and landowners. He was selected by the RICS in 2014-16 to deliver the lectures on ‘Valuation of Renewable Assets’ across the UK. He spoke to the Bristol Law Society annual conference in 2015 on 'Overage – valuing renewable projects'. He also specialises in Expert Witness work for solicitors in renewables disputes and he has been involved in cases in the High Court and the Lands Tribunal.

Holly’s role has recently changed and her time is now split 50:50 between fee earning for the Rural Consultancy sector in Market Harborough and supporting the Rural Consultancy sector, taking the lead central professional role. Holly’s fee earning role entails varied general practice, specifically valuations, as a RICS Registered Valuer undertaking valuations for a range of purposes including: secured lending taxation and matrimonial, development site management and providing strategic advice to rural businesses. She has also carried out a number of large portfolio valuations and is an Agent for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC). Previously, Holly was also involved in rural estate management. Within her capacity in the Rural Consultancy sector, Holly will deliver new and improved central systems to ensure best practice and improved efficiencies, manage the standard documents, improve valuation procedures and auditing, identify training requirements and implement, coordinate PR and marketing initiatives across the offices and improve internal communication across the sector. Holly joined the Market Harborough office in 2008, having completed a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University College, before becoming MRICS and FAAV qualified in 2009. James undertakes a range of professional matters, predominantly working as part of the Utilities & Infrastructure team in Banbury, whilst also undertaking valuations and general professional practice work. James was promoted to an Associate of Fisher German in April 2017. After graduating from Harper Adams University with a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, James then joined Fisher German in September 2013. James has gone on to qualify as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers. Out of the office, James works on the family livestock and game farm in Northamptonshire. James is an enthusiastic clay and game shot and away from country pursuits, he is an avid Northampton Saints supporter whilst playing rugby and cricket himself.

Blair joined Fisher German in October 2016, he will be working in the rural consultancy team, predominantly doing estate management work. He graduated from Harper Adams University in 2014 and took a graduate position with Grosvenor Estate based on the Abbeystead Estate in Lancashire. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in autumn 2015 at Abbeystead and the work he was involved in there built on the experience he gained at Northumberland estates where he completed his placement year from University. Outside of work Blair has a keen interest in shooting, skiing, hill walking and spends a lot of his time on the family livestock farm back home in Scotland.

Becky works in the Estates department advising a wide range of private clients on estate management matters She helps manage estates in Cheshire and North Shropshire and undertakes general professional work including single farm payment, NVZ compliance and CAP reform. Becky qualified from Harper Adams University College and while on placement worked for an agricultural market based firm before joining Denton Clark in 2006 and becoming part of Fisher German in 2012. She is a qualified member of the Royal Institute of Chartered surveyors. Becky was brought up on a beef and sheep farm in Mid Wales and often spends her spare time back on the family farm.
