Planning gained for Alkerton Oaks expansion

March 2012

planning & construction news

Planning permission has been granted to expand the Alkerton Oaks Business Park at the prestigious Upton Estate, near Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Planners at Fisher German’s Ashby office achieved permission for the erection of a storage unit, a business unit, landscaping and associated car parking.

The project was previously granted planning permission in 2008 for the redevelopment of the former dairy. A new planning application was submitted in October 2011 to revise the layout of the approved business unit to the north of the site and include the conversion of the old silage clamp into a storage unit to the west of the site.

The Planning Committee of Cherwell District Council voted unanimously to approve the application on Thursday 23 February 2012.

Jenny Salt from Fisher German comments “This planning approval will allow the unsightly old silage clamp to form an integral part of the business park. Through the continuation of the high quality design and construction, an inclusive and wholesome development will be created.”
