Planning Appeals

planning

The planning system allows an applicant the right to appeal against a Local Planning Authority's decision to refuse an application or its failure to determine an application within the statutory timeframe. The latest statistics show that about one third of appeals are allowed by the Planning Inspectorate and therefore, if amending the scheme is not feasible, appealing a decision may be the most appropriate way forward.

We are able to offer a fresh view to a proposal and can prepare and submit an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. This includes writing a comprehensive statement setting out a professional and robust case to justify the proposal and provide it with the best chance possible of being allowed at appeal.

The Planning Team have experience with all three forms of appeal: written representations; hearings; and public inquiries.  We can advise on the most appropriate means of pursuing an appeal relative to the circumstances of the case.

“Excellent people to deal with.”
