Building Consultancy
The Building Surveying and Architectural team specialises in a wide range of construction projects in the residential, commercial, retail, leisure and industrial sectors. The department was established as a discipline on its own in 1997 and expanded over the last 4-5 years whilst developing its own client base.
Our work covers two key skill areas:
Development and project work
- We manage construction projects in the commercial, industrial, residential, charity and education sectors, developing projects from inception to completion, including clients briefs, design, site surveys, specification writing, tendering and overseeing on site
- We work closely with the planning and development team to ensure that we can see a project through from inception to the final planning approval stage
- Plan and strategise maintenance works from reactive to planned maintenance
Professional work
- Party Wall etc Act 1995
- Dilapidations and schedule of conditions with respect to leasehold properties
- Building surveys at pre-acquisition stage and for defect analysis
- Advice on statutory compliance including Building regulations, Construction Design Management (Planning Co-ordinator Role), Disability Discrimination Act 1995, Fire Safety Order 2005, Control of Asbestos Regulations, licensed alterations
UKBS
Fisher German is a member practice of UKBS PLC which is a co-operative of like minded companies that offers building surveying services for national clients such as the Royal Mail, Salvation Army and NSPCC within our geographical area.
