Hadrian's Wall Challenge 2009
Our charity challenge for 2009 promises to be the most ambitious yet.
The challenge

On the weekend of 6-7 June 2009 a team from Fisher German will attempt to walk the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall (Bowness on Solway to Newcastle) - 84 miles in just 2½ days.

The charity
The charity we have chosen to support for 2009 is the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (which now covers the entire Midlands area - 2000 square miles including Leicestershire and Rutland, Warwickshire, Northampton and Derbyshire). This is the most active Air Ambulance service in the UK, serving 11 million people. The WNAA is a registered charity and relies totally on donations and sponsorship.
The WNAA was established in October 2003 to provide an emergency medical service for the heart of England.
The new service shifted the emphasis from transporting casualties to hospital, to recognising the need to get senior doctors and consultants to the scene of incidents as quickly as possible, providing lifesaving treatment and medication at the scene and en-route to hospital.
Please help by sponsoring us
Fisher German will cover the cost of the challenge weekend and every £1 raised will go to WNAA. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Charities are particularly vulnerable in times of recession and we are hoping to raise a significant sum for the WNAA.
There are two ways to make a donation:
Justgiving - donations made through our Justgiving site reclaim tax automatically where indicated - click here to donate
by Gift Aid for cash/cheque donations which enables an extra 28p per £1 given to be recouped from the exchequer. Please contact Veronica Richards on 01858 411221 email veronica.richards@fishergerman.co.uk
