Record number of enquiries for Linesearch
27/03/2009
Linesearch.org, the premier, free to use online utility search website had a record breaking month in March 2009, with the highest number of hits on one day since its inception nearly six years ago.
3155 separate enquiries were made in a 24 hour window, exceeding the highest previous day by nearly 2% and a representing a growth of 30% on the same period last year.
Whilst the influence of Spring and year end financial budget allocation may have helped, the Linesearch team believe that numerous influences spur on the impetus. ‘Even through the economic downturn, the popularity of Linesearch.org has continued to grow, reflected by the number of new users logging on each day, and in the total enquiries made on a daily and monthly basis,’ states Andrew Bridge of Fisher German, the developers and owners of the website.
Ongoing investment in the website and continual enhancements to functionality and efficiency, linked to awareness and the importance of managing risk, have all played a major part in the success witnessed.
Linesearch.org is unique within the UK in offering a single point of initial contact for 22 different utility owners without any cost to the enquirer.
The online system is a cost effective and environmentally friendly way of carrying out the preliminary service search for the members concerned.
