Linesearch online utility search growing into 2009

05/01/2009

larryAs the new year commences, 2009 offers new opportunities and exciting developments for Linesearch - the premier, free to use, third party utility on line enquiry web site.

Since its inception in 2003 the site has grown dramatically and is now an integral part of most third parties planned and unplanned works process. Linesearch was developed to allow free and easy access to utility data for people carrying out works in highways and on private land, and with 23 members on the site it is easy to see why the site receives in excess of 50,000 enquiries per month.

As businesses review their environmental and sustainability policies, Linesearch is being adopted and integrated within their working procedures, reducing postage, printing and paper usage.

As with other environmental initiatives there are cost saving opportunitiesA single search will return a response for all 23 members' apparatus, offering a minimum cost saving of £6.20 per enquiry for postage, ignoring the cost of the time taken to print, fold, put in an envelope and then post the enquiry.

2009 promises to be another significant year of growth for Linesearch, with discussions on going with numerous interested parties wishing to become members, the continued increase in the number of enquiries and the proposed development of new services offered by Linesearch.
