Linesearch, awards finalists

Linesearch.org, Fisher German's free online utility search enquiry system has recently made it to the finalist category in three separate awards.

  • The Sentinel Business Awards, shortlisted Linesearch.org in the Innovative New Technology Award.
  • The 5th annual HAUC HSC08 (UK) and Surveyor Industry Awards, shortlisted Linesearch.org for "significant contribution to the industry, product invention and innovation"  
  • Linesearch.org, made it to the finals in the Wales and Western Branch Pipelines Industry Guild awards.

It's been a good start to 2008 for the continually expanding utility system, which allows enquirers to find out about member apparatus above and below ground - apparatus which could affect work planned on the land.

National Grid has recently joined the membership list which now exceeds 20 members and enquiries are in excess of 45,00 per month.

Steve Wing, Head of Gas and Pipeline Unit in the Hazardous Installations Division within the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has also shown support of the system and " looks forward to other pipeline operators joining Linesearch".
