Banbury spring auction
Fisher German’s Banbury Office is looking to test the early Spring sales market with their latest auction due to be held on 19 March 2008.
The auction consists of a number of interesting agricultural, residential and development lots including a potential redevelopment site for a single dwelling set in three acres at Priors Hardwick, with exceptional views over attractive Warwickshire countryside guided at £400,000. In addition there is a substantial three bedroom house in Silverstone with planning permission for extension in a generous plot guided at £300,000.
There are also two blocks of arable land extending to 44 and 58 acres guided at £5,000 per acre. The auction also includes a building plot situated in a good Oxfordshire village with outline planning consent for a single dwelling guided at £175,000. This, together with a number of other smaller parcels of land and buildings in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire, make up an interesting selection of 10 lots.
Selling agent, Matthew Allen, of the Banbury Office comments: “it will be interesting to see what happens particularly with some interesting and diverse lots included within this auction. The recent changes to the Capital Gains Tax system has prompted a couple of the sales but they have certainly not all been tax driven. It will be something of a test to see how the market reacts. We are expecting a lot of interest particularly in the parcels of land and the development opportunities whose prices have stood up well in the more uncertain times we have recently been experiencing”.
The auction will take place on 19 March 2008 at the Banbury Cricket Club at Bodicote.
