Down in Devon, by the sea
The Ashby pipelines team, with help from our Market Harborough and Worcester offices, have recently completed one of our more unusual instructions having won a major Land Referencing project from Devon County Council.
As part of the Council's continuing commitment to protect its beautiful coastal and estuary areas, its Emergency Planning Team is producing a robust action plan should they experience pollution from shipping. This process was started prior to the recent beaching of the Napoli off Branscombe Beach which has resulted in pollution in a number of areas.
The process has involved the team covering some 675kms of coastline and tidal estuary with contact being made with all owners and occupiers of non-residential properties. The information gathered from the field work stage was collated onto our computerised Geographic Information System at the Ashby office and was successfully presented to the client.
