Fisher German is adding a new sporting agency to its rural estate business, to be based at the company’s Worcester office.
The merger with Westcountry Sporting Worldwide Ltd brings with it expertise from Richard Hutcheon who joins to head up Fisher German Sporting. And, with around 70,000 rural jobs in the UK supported by shooting, the company strongly believes that matching owners of landed estates with the ever-increasing demand for new and varied sporting challenges from private individuals and corporate syndicates is of paramount importance.
“Shooting sports are thought to be worth around £1.6 billion a year to the economy and the UK is renowned throughout the world for the quality of its driven shooting. Fisher German can provide some of the finest, if not the best, examples of shooting on its managed estates,” says Richard Hutcheon from Fisher German Sporting. “With the emphasis increasingly on quality rather than quantity, our new sporting agency will be able to offer shooting for all abilities from the novice to the experienced gun seeking out sporting and challenging birds.”
From contrasting estate and farm locations throughout the country, the shooting will range from driven pheasant and partridge shoots with “walk-up” days, including woodcock and snipe. The choice of fishing ranges from Salmon and Trout fishing in Scotland, to wild brown Trout fishing in the South West of England
“Our team is highly experienced in this field so we will be able to respond to the demands of our landed clients to help them diversify and expand their enterprises. Our aim is to satisfy the growing demand for varied and challenging sporting experiences,” concludes Yan Gittins.
