Development Property Strength

20/11/2006

SulgraveBusiness with rural property-owning clients forms the backbone of our firm and the realisation of maximum value from existing assets is a large part of our work. Obtaining planning permission and selling property for development is one of our strengths and it is usually residential consents that generate a sale.

As long as the residential market is perceived to be likely to remain buoyant, so too will the market for residential development property remain buoyant, and that sums up the market at present.

We are also involved in some very large strategic schemes that are grinding slowly through the planning system and these very rarely appear on the open market.

Some smaller scale schemes include a sale at Sulgrave, Northamptonshire of three barns and two new-builds for just short of £1m and three barns for sale at Shutford, Oxfordshire for a similar figure. At Drayton, Leicestershire, seven small new-builds and a barn have sold at well over the guide of £1.1m. Various other similar farmyard redevelopment schemes include three for sale in Derbyshire and another near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
