Wind Farms
Fisher German are one of the leading firms of chartered surveyors offering wind farm and single turbine advice to farmers and landowners. Headed up by Mark Newton FRICS, the team have advised on over 150 wind farm projects in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Europe. Mark and his team act for farmers and landowners who have been approached about a development or who are interested in their own wind farm.
Mark is considered to be one of the leading experts in the UK in negotiating competitive terms for large scale wind farms. He also advises farmers on small/medium single wind turbines for their own use or sale of electricity to the grid.
He helped the CLA write their advisory handbook on wind farms and he is on the CLA Renewables Committee. He has frequently been in the media, speaking on the BBC Radio 4 programmes ‘Costing the Earth’ and ‘Farming Today’ as well as talking on Radio Wales and appearing on tv in the BBC’s ‘Countryfile’ programme.
Mark has also been the main speaker on large and small scale wind turbines at five regional CLA conferences in 2009 and 2010. He has spoken at a FWAG conference in Yorkshire and also on 'Making Money from Single Wind Turbines' at the Renewable UK (previously BWEA) 'International Small Wind' conference in Glasgow in April 2010.
