aerial farmFisher German’s Pipelines Team, has been busy travelling the country surveying National Grid assets as part of the sale of four of their District Networks in Scotland, North of England, South of England and Wales & West.

The initial phase of this project involved a team of eight surveyors travelling to over 70 separate locations from Carlisle to Coldstream in the north and Plymouth to Dover in the south.  A tight time schedule was set for completion of all the site visits and this was achieved with delivery of all survey details to the Client ahead of the expected completion date.

These surveys involved visiting operational gas facilities and establishing the above ground requirements for both the retained National Grid asset and the asset to be sold.

In addition, the ownership and occupation of the site had to be confirmed and any easements required had to be clearly identified.  Liaison with both parties was therefore, critical in order to establish future working areas.

In addition to the surveys on site, Fisher German was also asked ti provide detailed plans for all the transfers of these major sites and this was done in-house, using our qualified CAD technicians.

As a consequence of the successful delivery of this initial phase of surveys, Fisher German has continued to provide survey teams and are currently in the process of surveying a further 185 sites.
