Twelve members of staff from Fisher German’s Ashby de la Zouch office
completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk on Saturday 17th June 2006.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge Walk is a rugged, high mountain walk extending to just over 23 miles. Despite this being a long walk for a single day’s hike, it also includes three long climbs totalling 1,586m (5,202 ft). The walk began at Horton-in-Ribblesdale and includes Pen – y - Ghent – 694m (2,2077 ft), Wherndside – 736m (2,415 ft) and Ingleborough - 723 m (2,372 ft).
Approximately £1,000 was raised for Heart Research and the times ranged from 9 hrs 10 mins to 13 hrs. Ashby partner Andrew Bridge, even managed to drag his wife along for the walk on her birthday!
