Fisher German’s first Collective Property Auction in Northampton proved to be a big success. A total of ten lots were due to be offered, but one lot was sold prior to the sale at a figure well in excess of the guide. Out of the remaining nine lots all except two sold, generally at significantly above their guide prices. The sales totalled just over £1.7 million.
The properties offered included four small lots of land, three development opportunities and three residential properties.
Some of the highlights were two small blocks of land, (7.4 and 4.0 acres) on the edge of Old, Northamptonshire, guided at £50,000 and £30,000 respectively, made a whopping £142,000 and £120,000! A cottage for renovation in Badby near Daventry was guided at £95,000 and made £128,000. Full sale results can been seen in the Auction section of this website.
On the same evening the firm held another auction in Lichfield that sold a small farm with 4 of the 5 lots offered making a total of £852,000. Auctioneer Andrew Ranson points out, “This brings the firm’s auction results over the last fortnight to an impressive success rate of sales of 20 out of 24 properties offered, totalling more than £4 million.”
