The Opportunity

The position will be primarily based in our Ashby Office working for the Central Operations Group IT Team. Within this role, you will provide help and assistance to internal users, across all 16 of our business operation sites. Support will be required for all hardware including; Desktop PCs, Laptops and Servers, together with multiple software applications including; Windows, Microsoft Office and Exchange.  The role will be carried out in a busy and pressurised environment, therefore, it is essential that you are able to prioritise tasks quickly and efficiently.

About You

To be effective in this role you must have a strong passion for technology as well as providing high levels of service and support to the team.  You will need strong communication and customer service skills; both over the telephone as well as face to face. You will have previous experience of working in a 1st or 2nd Line Microsoft support environment, and have a good working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, VoIP. A working understanding of multiple MS Office desktop products, Anti-Virus, Security, Firewalls and Routers is required, as well as the ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively. You must be a self-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive individual, with good attention to detail.  Exceptional problem solving skill and previous implementation of Juniper or Mitel is preferred.
